HOOKER STREET TOWNHOMES

Our client came to us with the hopes of breaking the mold in the traditional "slot-home" model townhouse development otherwise plaguing the trendy, Sloans Lake neighborhood. This property being alley bound on 2 sides, provided for interesting opportunities to load the tuck under garages from both alleys, thus, the mold was broken.

The five new town homes at Hooker Street will invite the outdoors in. With plenty of deck space on all floors, and an expansive roof top deck. Each unit is outfitted with ample indoor/outdoor spaces, allowing for its future occupants to spend plenty of time outdoors!

One unique feature of these homes is the stair tower. One of our clients biggest request was wanting to create homes that were flooded with natural light, thus the idea of a frosted glass stair tower was proposed. This allows the tower to be entirely lit from daylight, yet the frosting allows for the privacy each bookend home.

With the idea of outdoor living being high on the developer’s priorities, each home will be complete with a roof top living space accessed from a spiral stair at the 3rd floor. The roof tops will include an outdoor kitchen, living room and built in planter boxes to facilitate a new way of healthy, urban homestead type of living.

These townhomes, will be complete with their own tuck under garages, gourmet kitchens, and a bonus room on the main floor. Each home is separated by a prevalent and celebrated concrete masonry unit fire wall which will all but cancel neighboring sound typical in a code built townhouse, while at the same time providing a functional and structural element to support the homes floor platforms.

These exciting homes are curently working their way thropugh the cities Site Development Plan process, and expect to break ground early fall of 2017.
